## About

### The problem

Explanations of Bitcoin describe keys, signatures and mining in the abstract, and it is hard to see how they connect.

### The approach

This project builds the core pieces small enough to read: key generation and addresses, ECDSA-signed transactions, blocks mined with proof of work, a transaction pool and balance tracking, with an interactive menu.

- A wallet with private key, public key and a Bitcoin-like address.
- Transactions that are created, signed and verified.
- A chain with mining and validation.

### The result

A teaching implementation, simple on purpose and not a real currency.

## Features

- **Wallets**: Key generation and address creation.
- **Signed Transactions**: Created, signed and verified with ECDSA.
- **Mined Blocks**: Proof of work and chain validation.
