## About

### The problem

Most chat examples stop at sending a message, and skip sign-in, replies and showing who wrote what.

### The approach

This Django app signs people in with Google through django-allauth and pulls their name and photo from the profile. Messages are sent with AJAX and the page refreshes itself every 30 seconds.

- Replies that show the message they answer.
- Full timestamps in the Asia/Jakarta timezone and a live message count.
- A special badge for the site's authors.

### The result

A small, complete chat that shows the pieces of a social feature. The hosted demo is not online.

- **Google Sign-In**: OAuth through django-allauth, with name and photo.
- **Replies**: Reply to a specific message, with context.
- **Persistent History**: Messages stored in the database.
