## About

### The problem

Gold is a common way to save in Indonesia, but most price sites show only today's number, which says nothing about whether it is a good time to buy or sell.

### The approach

HargaEmas is a small Django app that shows the latest buy and sell price in IDR per 0.01 gram beside the history of those prices, as an interactive Chart.js page. Responses from the upstream price source are cached.

- A history API endpoint with configurable periods in days, months or years.
- A latest-price RSS feed, robots.txt and a sitemap.
- SEO metadata with Open Graph, Twitter cards and JSON-LD.

### The result

Live at harga-emas.rone.dev and deployed on Vercel through Django's WSGI entrypoint. Configuration is read with python-decouple and static files are served with Whitenoise.
